Erection, Commissioning & PG Test Engineers -- Ash Handling Systems

1. Erection & Commissioning Manager Ash Systems (1 Position)

Role Summary:

Overall incharge for erection, commissioning, and PG testing of ash handling systems across multiple sites. Responsible for resource planning, client interface, and ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and monitor erection & commissioning activities for 23 parallel projects.
• Lead and coordinate site engineers (mechanical, electrical, C&I, civil).
• Review site readiness and resolve inter-disciplinary bottlenecks.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and HO engineering team.
• Prepare commissioning protocols and ensure safe execution.
• Lead PG test runs and demonstrate system performance to client.
• Ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
• Report project status to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1215 years' experience in erection, commissioning & PG test of ash/coal andling systems.
• Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale power/industrial projects.

• Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and client management skills.

• Mechanical Site Engineers – Erection (3 Positions)

Role Summary:

Supervise erection of ash handling equipment and pipelines at project sites, ensuring quality, alignment, and adherence to schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise erection of pumps, compressors, silos, tanks, valves, and pipelines.
• Ensure correct alignment, welding, and fit-up.
• Coordinate with civil and electrical engineers for interface readiness.
• Monitor contractor teams and labour productivity.
• Report daily progress and resolve site issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–7 years' experience in erection of ash/coal handling or heavy mechanical systems.
• Good knowledge of material handling and piping systems.

• Hands-on, energetic, and site-focused.

• Commissioning Engineers – Mechanical / Electrical / C&I (3 Positions)

Role Summary:

Responsible for start-up, commissioning, trial runs, and troubleshooting of ash handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check readiness of electrical, mechanical & C&I systems before start-up.
• Supervise flushing, testing, and calibration of equipment.
• Conduct trial runs and monitor system parameters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues with OEMs/vendors.
• Assist in conducting PG tests.
• Prepare commissioning reports and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation.
• 5–8 years' experience in commissioning of ash/coal handling plants or utilities.

• Strong problem-solving ability and on-site troubleshooting skills.

• PG Test Engineers – Ash Systems (2 Positions)

Role Summary:

Execute and document performance guarantee tests of ash handling systems as per contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and implement PG test procedures with client approval.
• Collect operational data and performance measurements.
• Analyze test data and prepare PG test reports.
• Liaise with client representatives during tests.
• Ensure test runs demonstrate compliance with design parameters.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years' experience in testing & commissioning of ash/coal handling or utility systems.
• Good analytical and report writing skills.

• Experience in client-facing technical discussions.

• Supporting Staff – Supervisors & Technicians (6–8 Positions)

• Mechanical supervisors for fabrication, welding, and erection.

• Electrical & C&I technicians for wiring, instrumentation, loop checks.
• Fitters, riggers, and helpers for on-ground erection & commissioning.

Preferred candidate profile

BTech-Mechanical/Electrical /C& I

5 To 15 years of Experience
