Real Estate Risk Intmd Analyst

The Real Estate Risk Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams. Overseeing risks taken in connection with real estate activities which includes extensions of credit that are secured by liens on or interests in real estate, direct and indirect private equity and public market real estate investments, capital markets, construction lending, servicing, any consumer or commercial loan undertaken when real estate security or real estate activity, or an asset sale, or a refinancing is contemplated as a first way out.

Responsibilities:

• Provides informal guidance or on-the-job-training to new team members
• Attends meetings with the business groups as well as with the market risk management teams and the entire Real Estate Risk Management team.
• Monitoring, reviewing and reconciling Tier III limits with the risk managers, risk architecture and the business
• Producing reports such as aging reports or details of market positions produced periodically by the real estate group
• Producing PowerPoint slides for senior management presentations
• Preparing Real Estate Market Risk presentations
• Aggregating data and displaying in pivot tables on request
• Working with financial models
• Additional assignments include working on ad hoc data analysis for Business As Usual requests from the business and or senior risk managers. These assessments include stress testing, researching market data, Basel capital and CCAR calculations, among others.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• +5 years previous risk experience preferred
• Intermediate to advanced math skills with emphasis on financial products.
• Proficient excel, PowerPoint and Project Management skills
• Programming experience is a plus

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
