Were seeking a skilled Part-Time Data Analyst / BI Analyst hours/week) to transform raw property, buyer, and builder data into clear, actionable insights. This role will own the full data lifecycle from extracting and cleaning datasets across MLS, CRM, SQL, and other sources, to building and maintaining robust Power BI models and dashboards. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in Power BI, SQL, Excel and data wrangling with a sharp eye for accuracy and standardization, ensuring our business teams can make fast, informed decisions with confidence.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who doesn't flinch at messy, oversized spreadsheets or tangled datasets.

The right candidate knows how to pull, scrub, and reshape large volumes of data (in our case, property, owner, buyer, and builder data) quickly from multiple sources (online sites, MLS, CRM exports, Google Sheets, CSVs, SQL databases), organize it into consistent formats, and feed it into our CRMs, Vendors and Power BI dashboards.

Your work will power "Crystal Ball", our Power BI dashboard that integrates Land Seller, Land Buyer, and MLS data to deliver insights on land acquisition, sales, and new construction trends.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to troubleshoot data inconsistencies, and skilled at building repeatable ETL processes.

You will also refine and optimize existing analytics and visualizations to improve accuracy, performance, and usability.

You should be fluent in Power BI, SQL, and Power Query, with the ability to stitch together feeds from MLS, CRMs, Excel, and APIs into clean, reliable datasets.

You thrive on turning chaos into order, spotting errors others miss, and ensuring that every record matches our company's data quality bar. Beyond the technical chops, you're able to listen to business needs and translate them into dashboards and KPIs that actually move the needle for our teams.

Key Skills:

  • Strong in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboard design, performance tuning).
  • Hands-on in data wrangling: merging, unpivoting, deduplication, error handling.
  • Proven ability to manage refresh strategies and keep reports accurate, up to date.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple raw data streams and aligning them to one standardized database structure.
  • Analytical, detail-driven, and quick on your feet with large data sets.
  • Bonus points if youve wrangled MLS or CRM data before.

Key Responsibilities:

ETL & Data Wrangling

  • Perform ETL for:
  • Land Seller Data (Acquisition CRM): Import varied CSV formats, scrub, deduplicate, and standardize contacts, property info, and ownership data.
  • Land Buyer Data (Sales CRM): Consolidate leads from Google Maps scraping, builder lists, CRM leads, and spreadsheets; clean, enrich, and classify before storing in CRM.
  • MLS Data (Crystal Ball Dashboard): Export sales and construction data from MSAs (3 now, expanding); clean and prepare weekly/monthly extracts for Power BI refresh.

Power BI Development & Optimization

  • Build and maintain Power BI models and dashboards (fact/dim schema, hierarchies, KPIs, DAX, graphs, maps).
  • Refine and optimize dashboards and analytics for clarity, accuracy, and performance.
  • Use Power Query for unpivoting, merging, appending, and data type handling.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Translate business requirements into BI solutions.
  • Document transformation rules and business logic.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across all sources.
