Your Impact: We are part of the Infrastructure& Platform Engineering team responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available Linux-based environments. Our focus is on delivering a robust RHEL platform, implementing enterprise-grade security controls, and enabling application teams to run workloads efficiently in containerized environments with full observability.We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient RHEL DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring secure RHEL OS configurations, automating containerized deployments, and implementing end-to-end monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana to keep our systems healthy and reliable.What the role offers:
• Administer, configure, and maintain RHEL-based systems across development, staging, and production environments.
• Build, test, and deploy custom RHEL packages, kernels, and OS modules as required.
• Define and enforce RHEL security policies (SELinux, firewalld, auditd) and harden systems according to CIS Benchmarks or STIG standards.
• Automate OS provisioning, patch management, and compliance checks using Ansible or other tools.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Monitor infrastructure health and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager.
• Design, implement, and maintain observability dashboards and alerts to proactively detect system issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve OS, container, and performance-related incidents in production environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure compliance, reliability, and scalability of infrastructure.What you need to succeed:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in RHEL system administration, OS development, or platform engineering.
• Strong understanding of RHEL internals, SELinux, firewalld, audit logs, and systemd services.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, Podman) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Proficiency in monitoring solutions — Prometheus setup, Grafana dashboard creation, and alert tuning.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python, Ansible).
• Knowledge of security hardening standards (CIS, NIST, STIG) and vulnerability management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Preferred: RHCSA/RHCE certification, experience with CI/CD pipelines, and exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
