What you'll do:

As part of the team behind SAP BTP ABAP Environment (Steampunk)—SAP's Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for ABAP Cloud development—you will help enable developers to leverage traditional ABAP skills to build and run cloud applications on SAP Business Technology Platform, both as SAP extensions and standalone solutions.

You will:

• Operate, enhance, and ensure reliability and scalability of a Git-based version control service critical for ABAP Cloud development.
• Drive service quality through automated lifecycle management, zero-downtime deployments, backup, recovery, and high availability.
• Integrate observability solutions like monitoring, alerting, and logging for proactive operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and partners to maintain a secure and future-ready development platform.
• Contribute to other areas within the team, exploring new topics and technologies as needed, all within an agile and innovative environment

What you bring:

• Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and Technology with excellent academic records or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in at least one modern object-oriented programming language (ideally ABAP OO)
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
• Experience in at least two of the following:
• Git and related tools
• Cloud-native backend technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Cloud observability
• Agile methodologies
• Professional software development
• Result-driven, quality-focused working style
• Passion for coding and teamwork
• Commitment to customer success
