Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled
PKI Operate Contractor
to own and drive day-to-day enterprise PKI operations. This is a critical, hands-on role responsible for maintaining secure, resilient, and highly available PKI services. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Certificate Authorities, HSMs, certificate lifecycle management, and Tier-2/3 operational support in large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities


• Operate, configure, and support enterprise PKI and CA infrastructure


• Manage the complete digital certificate lifecycle (issuance, renewal, revocation, archival)


• Secure private key management using HSMs, including key generation, rotation, and destruction


• Troubleshoot complex PKI, trust, and certificate availability issues


• Implement and support high availability, backup, and disaster recovery for PKI platforms


• Perform vulnerability assessments, patching, and upgrades of PKI components


• Automate and integrate certificate processes using CLM tools such as Venafi, AppViewX, or Keyfactor


• Provide Tier-2/Tier-3 support, incident resolution, and SLA-driven ticket handling


• Maintain detailed operational documentation, runbooks, and audit evidence


• Support security audits and compliance requirements

Mandatory Skills

Strong hands-on experience in PKI operations and troubleshooting

End-to-end certificate lifecycle management expertise

Solid understanding of PKI architecture and X.509 standards

Hands-on exposure to HSMs for private key protection

Experience with CLM tools (Venafi / AppViewX / Keyfactor)

Good to Have

Automation or scripting experience

Exposure to compliance and regulatory audits

Advanced HSM administration
