Role & responsibilities
Store Management & Control
- Maintain systematic storage and arrangement of all spare parts with clear labels/identification numbers.
- Issue and receive spares only against authorized requisitions to prevent misuse or theft.
- Ensure real-time entry of every transaction in registers/ERP/software.
- Keep daily issue/receipt logbooks updated and verified.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and submit reconciliation reports.
Spare Identification & Tracking
- Record part number, equipment model, usage purpose, and issuing person details.
- Ensure accurate description of spares to avoid wrong issue.
- Implement and maintain QR code/barcode tagging for spares, shelves, and bins.
- Monitor critical spares stock levels and report to site management for reordering.
Efficiency & Speed
- Ensure spare parts are issued quickly without delays to prevent machine downtime.
- Develop ready racks / fast-moving spares section for frequently used items.
- Coordinate with mechanics/engineers to pre-identify commonly required parts.
Compliance & Security
- Maintain strict access control to the store; only authorized persons allowed.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies, damages, or missing parts immediately.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit norms, and safety regulations.
Reporting & Coordination
- Submit shift-wise handover report (Day to Night, Night to Day) to avoid confusion.
- Work closely with site engineers, purchase, and accounts teams for approvals and billing.
- Provide daily/weekly stock and consumption reports to Head Office.
Key Attributes Required
- Strong discipline and sense of accountability.
- Ability to work in pressure conditions (machine breakdowns).
- Detail-oriented no mismatch in part numbers/entries.
- Tech-friendly, able to adopt QR/barcode systems quickly.
- Honest, reliable, and capable of working independently during shifts.
Preferred candidate profile
- Minimum Graduate / Diploma (preferably in Mechanical / Electrical / Mining or related field).
- 35 years experience handling engineering / mining / heavy machinery spare parts store.
- Strong knowledge of spare parts identification (OEM codes, part numbers, etc.).
- Prior experience in inventory management systems (SAP, Tally, ERP, or similar).
- Ability to implement and manage QR/barcode systems for faster issue and tracking.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Email, Data Entry).
- Good written and verbal communication in Hindi and English.
- Physically fit to manage movement within store premises during day and night shifts.
