SAP Project Manager (Specialization: SAP FICO)

Experience Required - 10 years

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SAP Global Template Rollout projects, from planning through execution and post–go-live support.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and oversee key SAP modules (FICO, SD/PS, SD/CS, MM, PP, etc.) ensuring seamless process integration and data consistency.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, KPIs, timelines, and resource allocation in alignment with business and IT leadership.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, external vendors, and SAP consultants to ensure solution quality and stakeholder alignment.
  • Supervise data migration, testing (unit, SIT, UAT), training, cutover, and hypercare activities with a focus on quality.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to enable smooth delivery.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the SAP Global Template.
  • Apply waterfall, agile, or hybrid project delivery methodologies as appropriate.
  • Guarantee compliance with internal controls, segregation of duties (SOD) conflict management, and audit requirements.

Areas of Responsibility / Skills

  • Project management for SAP Global Template Rollouts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or MBA in Finance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP/PRINCE2 certification (preferred).

Experience

  • 10+ years of SAP experience, including 7+ years as an SAP FICO specialist.
  • Minimum 3 years as Project Manager in SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation projects.
  • Proven experience in project management using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of cross-module integration across SAP PS, SD/CS, MM, and PP.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams while resolving conflicts.
  • Define and manage project scope to prevent scope creep.
  • Manage process, technology, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
  • Track progress, monitor KPIs, and provide regular updates to leadership.

Finance & Controlling (FICO)

  • Strong expertise in FICO submodules: GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-PA, CCA, IO, and Product Costing.
  • Proven understanding of integration points with SAP PS, CS, SD, MM, and PP, ensuring end-to-end process efficiency.
