Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Automatic Door Systems

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end project execution in the automatic door industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing turnkey automation projects involving sliding doors, swing doors, industrial shutters, high-speed roll-up doors, and access control systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management capabilities, and leadership to ensure successful project delivery, from planning to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple automation door projects simultaneously—from order receipt to installation and final handover.
- Coordinate with internal teams: engineering, production, procurement, and service to ensure timely execution.
- Handle project planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Manage client communication and act as the primary point of contact for all project-related updates and issue resolutions.
- Oversee site readiness assessments, installation timelines, safety compliance, and quality assurance.
- Ensure proper risk management, change management, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to technical and contractual specifications.
- Work closely with the sales team for scope clarifications, cost optimization, and customer feedback.
- Mentor and support junior project engineers and coordinators.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 03-04 years of project management experience, preferably in the automatic door, façade automation, or industrial equipment industry.
- Proven track record in managing electromechanical installation projects with site-level complexity.
- Strong understanding of automatic door systems, control panels, access control integration, and safety norms.
- Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and structural layouts.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, fire safety, and automation standards (EN16005, ADA, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management Certification.
- Experience in working with international brands of automatic door systems (e.g., Dorma, GEZE, ASSA ABLOY, Record).
- Exposure to BMS/IBMS integration, access control protocols (RS485, CANbus, etc.), and IoT-enabled systems.
- Familiarity with contract negotiation, BOQ validation, and sub-contractor management.
Work Environment & Travel:
- Primarily office-based with frequent site visits to commercial, industrial, or high-security projects.
- Must be flexible to travel regionally/nationally, depending on project locations.
- Ability to handle field-level coordination with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
