Job Overview:

As a Senior Technical Lead / SME, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of virtualization, storage, and backup technologies. You will work on all levels of support tickets (L1 to L3), ensuring timely resolution and driving operational excellence. This role requires hands-on expertise in VMware, Nutanix, VxRail, Dell storage (PowerScale, PowerStore, Unity), and backup platforms (IDPA, PPDM, Rubrik). In addition, you will set technical direction for the team, mentor engineers, coordinate with vendors and stakeholders, and act as the ultimate technical escalation point and subject matter expert.

Job Title: Subject Matter Expert – Server, Storage & Backup

What You Will Do:

• Act as a technical SME for server, storage, and backup infrastructure, providing end-to-end support and solutions.
• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade datacenter systems across multiple environments.
• Drive technology refresh projects and support large-scale datacenter migrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address infrastructure needs, ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Lead complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to build strong in-house technical capabilities.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in server, storage, and backup administration.
• Expertise in Windows/Linux server platforms, virtualization and HCI platform (VMware,vSAN, Dell VxRAIL, Nutanix AHV), and enterprise storage solutions (Unity, Power Scale, Power Store or equivalent).
• Strong experience with backup tools (AVAMAR,IDPA,Netbackup or similar).
• Proven ability to manage datacenter migrations, refresh projects, and high-availability environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and hybrid infrastructure models.
• Experience in automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Ansible).
• Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and audit frameworks.

Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in high-demand environments
