To support the Plant People Manager in maintaining harmonious industrial relations, ensuring statutory compliance, and managing administrative functions at the plant. This role is critical in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring legal adherence, and supporting smooth plant operations.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Industrial Relations (IR) & Employee Relations (ER)

  2. Assist in maintaining healthy union-management relationships.

  3. Support in preparation and execution of collective bargaining agreements.
  4. Monitor discipline, absenteeism, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
  5. Maintain records of disciplinary actions and ensure adherence to labor laws.
  6. Coordinate with department heads on manpower-related issues and ER matters.

  7. Support in executing restructuring plans and change management initiatives.

  8. People Operations & Talent Management

  9. Assist in manpower planning and recruitment for shop floor and support functions.

  10. Coordinate onboarding, induction, and orientation programs for new hires.
  11. Support execution of the OPR process.
  12. Maintain and update employee records, HRIS, and generate periodic MIS reports.

  13. Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating learning & development programs.

  14. Employee Engagement & Welfare

  15. Organize employee engagement activities and welfare programs to boost morale.

  16. Act as a point of contact for employee queries and grievances.

  17. Support implementation of BU People and Zone best practices at the plant.

  18. Statutory Compliance

  19. Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and returns (e.g., PF, ESIC, Factory Act).

  20. Liaise with statutory bodies such as ALC, Factory Inspector, and Labor Department.
  21. Maintain compliance documentation and support internal/external audits.

  22. Monitor legal updates and ensure plant-level compliance with applicable labor laws.

  23. Government & External Stakeholder Management

  24. Coordinate with local government officials and labor authorities.

  25. Support in managing public relations and community engagement initiatives.

  26. Assist in handling crisis situations and maintaining a positive external image of the plant.

  27. Administration

  28. Oversee general administrative functions including housekeeping, transport, and canteen.

  29. Ensure implementation of employee welfare measures and facilities.
  30. Monitor vendor performance and ensure cost-effective administrative operations.
  31. Support in organizing plant-level events and engagement activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBA/PGDM in HR, IR, or related field.
  • 36 years of experience in ER/IR and plant administration.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in handling a unionized workforce is preferred.
