Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team focused on sourcing, product development, and sample coordination.
  • Drive the end-to-end sourcing process: identify and qualify new quarries and factories (primarily in Brazil, India, Turkey, Italy, Vietnam, and China), negotiate pricing and MOQs, coordinate sampling, and manage development timelines.
  • Own new product development from concept to launch: create specifications, maintain product roadmaps, coordinate with design and engineering, and prepare all launch materials (pricing, marketing collateral, sales training).
  • Conduct ongoing market and competitive research in natural stone, engineered quartz, porcelain slabs, and related surfacing categories.
  • Schedule, prepare for, and actively participate in frequent meetings with US-based stakeholders (sales leadership, marketing, operations, executive team, and key customers/distributors).
  • Schedule and run additional internal and external meetings, prepare agendas and recaps, track action items, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide direct executive support to the Director: travel booking, expense reports, presentation preparation, calendar management, and documentation organization.
  • Monitor product performance metrics, margin analysis, inventory levels, and customer feedback to recommend improvements or line extensions.
  • Act as the central point of contact between sourcing, sales, marketing, operations, and executive leadership.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, sustainability requirements, tariff changes, and logistical challenges affecting global stone supply.

Core Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of sourcing, category management, or product development experience
  • High level working knowledge of global supply chains (quarrying, processing, slab fabrication, logistics) is ideal but not required — we can provide training to the right candidate.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team while personally executing with little or no supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail; able to follow complex instructions precisely and deliver flawless results independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment (this is essential).
  • Strong negotiation skills and comfort dealing directly with international suppliers.
