Job Title: Quenching station specialist

Job Location: Syngene scientific solutions limited, Hyderabad

  • Hold self and their teams accountable for the achievement of safety goals
  • Govern and Review safety metrics from time to time

Core Purpose of the Role:


  1. To follow the established procedures and policies of the company pertaining to quenching station to adhere to safety norms defined.
  2. Planning and execution of timely quenching of  all received materials as per classification defined in SOP with safe manner and waste disposal
  3. To ensure proper maintenance of Safety gadgets and system.
  4. To co-ordinate campaigns, competitions, contest and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the employees in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedure.
  5. To implement, maintain and continually improve the Work Permit System.
  6. To coordinate in conducting Emergency Preparedness and Response, Mock Drill of CUF.
  7. To set up short-term and long-term goals for improving EMS to quenching station.
  8. Hazardous waste and expired chemicals treatment, storage and disposal to all OU across the Syngene scientific solutions limited.
  9. Monitoring of safe disposal of expired, aqueous and molar chemicals wastes
  10. Establish, implement and enforce safe work practices in quenching station.
  11. To ensure proper maintenance of safety equipment.
  12. Adopt best practices to reduce the Hazardous waste.
  13. To implement, maintain and continually improve the Work Permit System.
  14. FAB medicines issuance & stock maintaining Fire hydrant & fire extinguisher spare stock maintaining & documentation
  15. Overall BP safety cupboards materials issuance & stock maintaining Fixed & portable detectors issuance, stock maintaining & calibration done within timeline.

Role Accountabilities


  1. To develop quenching procedures for hazardous chemicals
  2. To identify and report unsafe situations in the quenching station in the portal.
  3. To support cross functional team for incident investigation process
  4. To ensure safety handling of quenching material and equipment.
  5. Ensure regular preventive maintenance of quenching station equipment as per PM schedule
  6. Providing full month quenching station activity data to monthly meeting within timeline.
  7. To coordinate and utilize the OPEX and Capex budget allocated for quenching station
  8. Ensure all quenching station activities well performed as per Standard operating procedures.

Experience

0-2 Years Hands-on experience in chemical handling

Having experience in lab & bulk scale reactions

Skills and Capabilities

Expertise in handling multiple expression platforms

Capable of thinking scientifically to address complex problems and develop solutions

Work as a team and have collaborative mindset

Good communication skills

Education

B.Sc / M.Sc in Organic chemistry
