The Reporting engineer will report into the Senior Manager, Value Management Agile Solutions at our Innovation Center in India. This individual will manage Amgens Value Management Office reporting (e.g., portfolio data, financial data, productivity metrics) and partner with other colleagues across the globe. This includes executing solutions to compliantly connect data assets from sources to that include Jira, Jira Align, Anaplan, Smartsheets and others that will serve as the foundation for driving Agile Lean Portfolio analytics that inform enhanced portfolio management and execution. This position is responsible for developing the reporting visualizations in connection with AI capabilities. This individual will partner with Value Management Office, and Client Facing product teams on the data aggregation, integration, and ongoing operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau .
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform data validation and ensure accuracy and consistency across reports.
  • Assist in optimizing data models and queries for performance and scalability.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting needs and data analysis requests.
  • Document reporting processes and maintain version control of reporting assets.
  • Stay current with BI trends and tools to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
  • Enforce data governance for data assets through data access management and business approval processes

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree with 5 - 9 years of exp OR
  • Master's degree with 3 - 7 years exp
  • Proven experience in working in global teams and across time zones and cultures
  • Proven experience in working in Product teams and delivering high quality solution in adherence with established processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication.

Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and Tableau (academic, internship, or project-based).
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to effectively translate business stakeholder requirements to IT partners to ensure high quality, timely, integrated data assets
  • Deliver prioritized data deliverables through agile execution and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated self-starter, ability to work under limited supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and relationship management skills
  • Strong vendor management skills

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts or tools (e.g., Azure ML, Python, AutoML).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with and application of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

  • Able to perform well in a fast-paced, changing environment.
