GIS Architect

Optellix has a great opportunity for a GIS Architect to join our team in Pune.

We're looking for a professional with a deep understanding of JavaScript and web technologies, including extensive experience with , WebGL, and CesiumJS.

What You'll Do :

- Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable, high-performance GIS applications.

- Architect and develop cutting-edge 3D geospatial solutions using CesiumJS, , and WebGL.

- Define best practices and standards for web-based GIS development, including code quality, security, and performance optimization.

- Design and integrate APIs for seamless geospatial data access and third-party system integration.

- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust, high-impact technical solutions.

- Provide technical leadership in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

What We're Looking For.

years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 2+ years in a GIS Architect or similar leadership role.

- Proven expertise in designing and building large-scale, enterprise-level web applications.

- You'll need to be highly skilled in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, with a strong background in developing applications using React or Angular.

- Deep, hands-on experience with 3D web technologies including CesiumJS, , Babylon, and native WebGL or WebGPU.

- Extensive knowledge of spatial data formats, coordinate systems, and geospatial analysis techniques.

- Strong understanding of REST API design and integration, as well as database technologies (e.g,. , PostgreSQL, PostGIS).

- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor team members.

Preferred skills :

- Experience with backend technologies such as or Python.

- Familiarity with other GIS platforms like ArcGIS or OpenLayers.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
