Key Responsibilities:1. Deliver WOW Customer Experience (Customer Journey Expert)

  • Greet, smile, and engage with customers to understand their needs.
  • Promote sports and build connections through sports communities and events.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by recommending the right products and services.
  • Utilize all channels (in-store, online, app) to meet customer needs.
  • Offer value-added services such as buyback, repairs, personalization, and flexible payment options.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient checkout processes.
  • Be available and approachable to customers at all times.

2. Guarantee WOW Layout (Layout Expert)

  • Maintain a safe, engaging, and attractive store layout that enables customers to easily see, touch, try, and buy products.
  • Ensure layouts are aligned with high-performance sales strategies and business priorities.
  • Keep inventory updated and reliable to support omnichannel availability.
  • Highlight Decathlon's complete product and service offerings, including circular economy initiatives like buyback and second-life products.
  • Update signage and displays to create a self-informed shopping experience.
  • Drive business growth through effective merchandising and complementary product suggestions.

  • Customer Metrics:
  • New customer growth %
  • Customer satisfaction (NPS / feedback)
  • Business Metrics:
  • Stock availability (Visual Rupture %)
  • Sales from omnichannel (SAS, C&C, SFS)
  • Circular economy growth (Second Life sales, buyback performance)
  • Turnover growth (online + offline)
  • People Metrics:
  • Skill competency score (SMR on each skill)
  • Team contribution to local sports projects

Required Job Skills:Core Skills:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Passion for sports and active participation in one or more sports.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Previous retail experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of digital and omnichannel sales.

Growth Path:

  • Short Term: Master core skills and deliver consistent WOW experiences to customers.
  • Medium Term: Develop complementary skills and take on responsibilities like Daily Manager or Local Sports Project Leader.
  • Long Term: Grow into roles such as Department Manager, Trainer, or other leadership positions within Decathlon.
