Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Control (PPC):
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and forecast.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor production progress against plans and identify any deviations.
- Analyze capacity utilization and machine loading for optimal efficiency.
Support in maintaining and improving On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
Material Requirement Planning (MRP):
Plan and schedule raw material and component requirements as per production plans.
- Maintain minimum and reorder stock levels to avoid production stoppages.
- Coordinate with purchase and stores departments for timely availability of materials.
- Evaluate supplier delivery performance and highlight material shortages in advance.
Optimize inventory levels through effective demand and supply balancing.
Data Management & Analysis:
Maintain accurate production and material data in SAP/ERP system.
- Prepare daily MIS reports on production, material status, and pending orders.
Support management in decision-making through data analysis and reports.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Liaise with design, purchase, and dispatch teams for seamless planning and execution.
Communicate production schedules and material priorities across departments.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to process improvement initiatives in planning and inventory management.
- Participate in cost reduction and lead time improvement projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 25 years of experience in PPC and MRP in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and MS Excel (Advanced Excel preferred).
- Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory optimization techniques will be an advantage.
