Job Description:
As a Tendering Estimation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and submission of accurate and competitive tender proposals. You will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, developing cost estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the tender process are completed effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Analysis: Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to fully understand the project requirements and scope.
Cost Estimation: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and overheads.
Use appropriate estimation software and methodologies to produce reliable estimates.
Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive tender proposals, including detailed breakdowns, supporting documentation, and risk assessments. Ensure all submissions meet client requirements and deadlines.
Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure all aspects of the bid are covered.
Facilitate meetings and discussions to clarify project details and scope.
Market Research: Conduct market research to obtain current prices for materials, labor, and other relevant costs. Analyze market trends to provide informed recommendations.
Compliance: Ensure that all estimates and proposals comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
Cost Control: Monitor and review project costs throughout the tendering phase, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and ensuring that estimates remain competitive.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all tendering activities, including correspondence, changes, and decisions. Prepare post-tender reports and lessons learned documentation.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or a relevant discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or a related role within the MEP industry. Experience with luxury residential projects is preferred.
Skills:
Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Comfortable in working on CAD drawings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
