Expert Java Engineer

Marketing Technology Solutions (MarTS) group is building cutting edge technology solutions for Marketing teams, building sites and apps across multiple channels like web, mobile, IoT etc. Mastercard is looking for strong technical professional to be part of this exciting journey.
This position is responsible for leading application development and design support within MarTS group. Specifically, this person will provide exceptional application development to all marketing projects.
This is a career opportunity to be a Lead Engineer for providing global marketing solutions for one of the most well-known brands in the world. Passion, rigour, and drive are required. Provide high quality deliverables within the constraints of budget, scope and time. Design & develop high quality, secure software solutions as per technical requirements and design artifacts.

Responsibilities:

• Proactive Lead Software Development Engineer for a world class distributed agile development team in the commercial virtual payments space
• Must be an expert on working with AEM 6.5 and above code base and technology stack
• Hands-on developer on Adobe AEM and one or more Adobe marketing cloud products solutions built upon the Adobe Experience Manager/CQ5 platform
• Work with a team of talented engineers to develop high performance, high volume end to end applications using Java, Angular and Content Management System (CMS) AEM
• Expertise in building AEM components, templates, workflows and OSGi modules using JSP as well as HTL with 100% hands-on role
• Work closely with technical leads and product management technical to help define features and user stories
• Contribute to day to day system development and maintenance activities of the team to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and help create solutions with high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market
• Provide technical training to the other team members
• Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency
• Support service in production
• Communicate directly with team leaders to ensure iterative delivery dates across a continuous development lifecycle are met, while identifying emerging issues

Requirements:

• Expert with different application patterns to implement different types of business processes (e.g., APIs, event-driven-services, batch-services, web-applications, big data)
• Experience on:
  • AEM and related tech stack
  • Java, REST API, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Jenkins, Spring, Oracle, GIT, Microservices, Messaging Framework, Angular/React
• Min 6-8 year of relevant exp in AEM and Java Stack experience
• A record of successful delivery of large software applications as a Tech Lead
• Demonstrated knowledge of Software Architecture and Design Principles, Patterns
• Methodology, Domain Concepts (Architecture and Design Skills)
• Experienced:
  • In advanced code development, code review, and construction and use of automation frameworks
  • Working on Microservices and Cloud Native Architecture
  • Leading and mentoring other engineers in a technical capacity
  • With secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT)
  • Delivering major pieces of functionality on time and on-budget
  • Solving scale, resilience, security, and robustness problems
  • Working with DB like Oracle/Postgres
  • With different SDLC practices (Waterfall/Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) and the delivery situations they are used for
  • In using basic engineering principles for building and running mission critical software capabilities (security, customer experience, testing, operability
  • Simplification, service-oriented architecture) 
• You have good communication skills – both verbal and written
