Job Purpose & Scope:

Responsible for end-to-end sourcing and procurement of raw materials such as oils, excipients, processing aids, and plant extracts to ensure timely availability of materials for uninterrupted production. The role is critical in ensuring supply reliability, cost optimization, and alignment with production schedules and business goals.

Accountabilities:

  • Quality of material purchased
  • Purchase cost budget vs actual
  • On time delivery
  • No. of new supplier on boarded
  • Feedback from internal stakeholders

Key Accountabilities:

  • Source raw materials (oils, excipients, processing aids, plant extracts) from approved and reliable suppliers.
  • Onboard new suppliers as needed to drive cost benefits, ensure supply continuity, and enhance sustainability.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to achieve cost-saving targets while ensuring quality and service levels.
  • Support in preparing the annual material budget in collaboration with finance and planning team.
  • Develop and maintain monthly and annual procurement and sourcing plans aligned with production forecast.
  • Supervise the Purchase Order (PO) creation and approval process in compliance with the Procure-to-Pay SOP.
  • Collaborate closely with PPIC, production, and sales teams to align material planning with demand forecasts.
  • Coordinate with the R&D team to arrange samples and materials for new product development.
  • Liaise with the logistics team for timely follow-up on domestic and imported material shipments.
  • Coordinate with the accounts team to ensure smooth processing of supplier payments (both domestic and imports).
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, ensure service level adherence, and escalate concerns where necessary.
  • Track market price changes regularly and provide timely updates to the Lead Direct Purchase.
  • Manage procurement documentation and bills, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness.
  • Update procurement systems with relevant documentation and share updates with internal stakeholder.

Qualification:

Education:

  • MBA with specialization in Supply Chain Management preferred.

Experience:

  • 6 - 12 years of experience
