Job Overview:

We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Short Form Motion Graphics & Reel Editor with a passion for storytelling, editing, and leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows. The ideal candidate knows how to cut short-form content (Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts), enhance it with motion design, and use AI tools to improve speed, productivity, and content quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reel & Short-Form Editing: Edit engaging and high-quality short videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, including jump cuts, text overlays, transitions, and sound design.
  • Motion Graphics: Add branded animation, dynamic captions, lower thirds, and graphic elements to enhance viewer retention.
  • Talking Head Videos: Edit founder-led or creator-led content into fast-paced, subtitle-rich formats with engaging hooks.
  • AI Tools Integration: Use AI tools (like Descript, Runway, ElevenLabs, ChatGPT, Topaz, Midjourney, etc.) for scripting, auto-captioning, visual generation, upscaling, or cutting down editing time.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely with the content, design, and social media teams to align edits with the brand's goals and voice.
  • Content Optimization: Edit with platform-specific best practices in mind – different pacing, hooks, and layout depending on the platform.
  • Efficiency & Innovation: Bring creative ideas to the table while maintaining speed and quality in delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1–2 years of professional experience in video editing, preferably in an agency or content-heavy role.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • AI-Friendly: Comfort with AI editing/copy tools like Descript, ChatGPT, Runway ML, ElevenLabs, etc.
  • Content Sense: Excellent understanding of storytelling, platform trends, pacing, and audience behavior on short-form platforms.
  • Motion Graphics: Hands-on experience in creating clean, modern animations and on-screen text.
  • Adaptability: Able to work across diverse client profiles – from personal brands to product-led businesses.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong sense of timing, transitions, rhythm, and audio syncing.
  • Team Spirit: Comfortable collaborating with creative leads and other team members to refine edits.

  • Experience with founder/influencer brand videos
  • Familiarity with meme edits or virality formats
  • Ability to ideate and storyboard concepts from scratch
  • Colour grading & audio enhancement
