Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper – Australian Division Job Type: Full-time / PermanentWorking Hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pmCompensation: Based on experience and qualifications Location: Ahmedabad, GujaratCompany: Safebooks GlobalExperience Required: 4+ years in Australian bookkeeping and accounting   Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our Australian accounting division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian bookkeeping standards, BAS preparation, payroll, and experience with cloud-based accounting systems like Xero and MYOB. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ATO regulations.   Key Responsibilities: Perform end-to-end bookkeeping for Australian clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entriesPrepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and payroll tax returnsProcess payroll and superannuation in compliance with Fair Work and ATO guidelinesReconcile bank, credit card, and loan accountsMaintain accurate and timely financial records across multiple entitiesPrepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for clientsLiaise with clients and respond to accounting queries promptlyAssist with year-end closing and liaise with accountants and tax agentsProvide guidance and support to junior bookkeeping staffUse accounting platforms such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks Online effectively   Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum 4 years of experience in Australian bookkeeping/accountingStrong knowledge of ATO compliance including BAS, PAYG, Superannuation, and GSTProficient in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online, and ExcelExperience handling payroll in accordance with Australian regulationsExcellent attention to detail and time management skillsStrong communication and client handling skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlines   Nice to Have: Certification in Xero or MYOBExperience working in a KPO/BPO environment with Australian clientsUnderstanding of Australian awards and payroll rulesKnowledge of budgeting and cash flow forecasting   To Apply: Send your resume + a short note on how you’ve helped a company grow to SHAILESH@SAFEBOOKSGLOBAL.COM and JOBS@SAFEBOOKSGLOBAL.COM   These positions are urgent, and we are looking for candidates who are available to join immediately.  We would appreciate it if you could send me the details below.
