Job Title: Manager - Environmental Health & Safety Location: Bhilai, Chhattisgarh Industry: Heavy Engineering & Manufacturing Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Manager - Environmental Health & Safety to lead and implement safety protocols in a heavy manufacturing environment. The role demands expertise in IMS, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and auditing, along with the ability to independently plan and execute safety audits at sites. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies Conduct independent audits at manufacturing sites and ensure compliance Lead safety inspections, analyze findings, and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with IMS, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and relevant standards Maintain and update the Emergency Response Plan Provide safety training and enforce workplace safety protocols Investigate incidents, draft reports and develop preventive strategies Maintain safety records, monitor compliance and liaise with regulatory agencies Collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous safety improvement Stay updated on industry safety regulations and implement necessary policy changes Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Degree/Diploma in Environmental Safety preferred) 8+ years of experience in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety & Health Strong knowledge of IMS, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and safety standards Proven experience in conducting audits and inspections independently Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills Ability to multitask, problem-solve and make sound decisions Proficiency in MS Office and safety-related software Join a leading heavy engineering company committed to safety, quality, and sustainability.
