We are looking for a data modeler who can work with our data team and the DE team to continue building out data warehouse that we have built.
- This role will be an extension to the team and focus on the data modelling and mapping work that will be needed to get the data hydrated.
- Some of the requests will come from strategic projects that need data and others will come from the reporting team.
- The data modeler should be comfortable with physical and logical data models, be able to get into the data to understand how the data is used (SQL experience and ability to understand how batch processes run) and model the data at the right grain based on the reporting need, have a working experience with data modelling tool and be able to create source to target mapping for the Data engineering team.

**Responsibilities**:

- 4-6 years of professional experience as a Data Modeler
- Conceptual model to aid understanding and input to Universal Data Model (UDM).
- Logical model to prepare development teams for delivering physical underlying structures.
- Experience in ER modelling (Entity Relationship) and dimension modelling (star schema, snowflake schema).
- Experience in Financial Services and specifically within data domains/functions (e.g. Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Governance)
- Experience in Erwin, Collibra, Solidatus, IBM Infosphere, Alteryx, Manta (any).
- Demonstrable knowledge of Data Management tools and techniques.
- Translation of business requirements into solution designs and functional requirements.
- Experience in eliciting, documenting, and verifying requirements for the use of data across the organization (Global Businesses and Global Functions) as appropriate to project scope.
- Previous experience in data analysis, solutions analysis or architecture including delivery of data artefacts in big data projects on prem or cloud. Example data models, data flow diagrams and metadata would be beneficial.
- Proven strength in conceptual and logical thinking, ability to abstract information, and look at the bigger picture.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to challenge designs/decisions and exposure to agile methodologies.
- Experience in managing and resolving complex issues using proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in working within large, complex, and geographically dispersed projects (including across time zones)
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills. A strong ability to communicate virtually e.g. conference calls and video conferencing.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work to deadlines.
