**Responsibilities**:
Develop recommendations to adjust credit policies by analyzing credit and financial performance utilizing statistical scoring, segmentation, regression and simulation techniques
Implement initiatives to ensure consistency and compliance with credit policies
Utilize SAS in a UNIX environment to perform risk, financial and data analysis including profiling, sampling, reconciliation, and quality testing
Prepare risk management presentations for senior management that include analytics on portfolio performance, emerging trends and areas of opportunity

**Qualifications**:
8-12 years relevant experience
Degree in Quantitative Fields such as Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, Business Finance, or Mathematics (Master’s degree preferred)
Previous experience in credit card risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry
Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a high sense of urgency
Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple projects and possess effective interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills
Extensive knowledge of SAS or SQL programming and literacy with MS Office software required

**Education**:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
CA/CFA/MBA (Finance)

This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

In a AVP Credit role you will be responsible for underwriting and assessing credit propositions and transactions submitted by Business Developers / Relationship Managers to ensure compliance with the Bank's credit policies and procedures, risk acceptance criteria and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for managing the credit quality of a portfolio of clients.
You will be performing ongoing credit risk monitoring to identify any clients with potential concerns. Periodic stress tests on the portfolio will have to be undertaken to identify accounts which warrant closer monitoring and possible loan loss reserves to the Bank. During the course of managing the credit portfolio, you will participate in client calls with the Relationship Managers and Sales Head.
Other duties include the monitoring and follow-up of past due credit obligations, facility limit excesses, tracking and monitoring of facility covenants, conducting portfolio calls, credit data maintenance, MTM monitoring and ensuring high standards in housekeeping metrics (Credit Filing, Deferral Tracking, Timely renewal etc.)
