Job Summary:
The Draughtsman is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on specifications provided by engineers and architects. This role involves using computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D drawings for manufacturing, construction, and engineering projects. The Draughtsman ensures that all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations, facilitating clear communication between the design and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Drawing & Design:
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings based on the specifications, sketches, and designs provided by engineers, architects, or project managers.
Use CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to create precise and detailed drawings for various engineering and construction projects.
Revise and update drawings to reflect changes made during the project lifecycle.
Ensure that all technical drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Collaboration with Engineers & Project Teams:
Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and ensure accurate drawings.
Interpret and clarify technical specifications to ensure that drawings reflect the desired outcomes and functionality of the design.
Coordinate with other team members to ensure that all drawings and plans are completed in a timely manner and align with project timelines.
Documentation & Filing:
Maintain a comprehensive and organized library of drawings and documentation for future reference and audits.
Ensure that all technical documents, revisions, and updates are clearly documented and properly filed for easy access.
Manage the storage and backup of electronic drawings to prevent loss of important data.
Site & Project Support:
Assist in reviewing technical drawings and plans during project execution to ensure that construction or manufacturing is aligned with the design specifications.
Conduct on-site visits, when required, to verify measurements, understand site conditions, and support the project team in resolving technical issues.
Provide technical support to contractors, fabricators, and site teams by explaining design details or clarifying any discrepancies.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASME).
Stay updated on the latest drawing standards and practices to ensure compliance with current engineering and design norms.
Verify that designs account for safety, environmental, and legal considerations.
Material & Equipment Schedules:
Assist engineers in preparing detailed material and equipment schedules for projects based on the technical drawings.
Provide accurate dimensions, quantities, and specifications of materials needed for construction, fabrication, or manufacturing.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving drawing processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
Keep up-to-date with the latest CAD software developments and continuously improve drawing techniques and tools.
Qualifications:
Diploma or certificate in Drafting, Engineering, or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience as a Draughtsman in a relevant industry (construction, mechanical, civil, etc.).
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of engineering and architectural drawing standards.
Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and designs.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in 3D modeling and rendering software.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) practices.
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
