**Position Title: Draftsman**

**Department: Production**

**Reports To: Production Manager**

**Time**:9:15 AM to 6:30 PM

**Job Summary**:
The Furniture Draftsman's primary responsibility will be to create detailed technical drawings and plans for furniture manufacturing. Must work closely with the design and engineering teams to translate conceptual designs into precise and accurate drawings that can be used for production.

**Roles and Responsivities**:
**1. Technical Drawing**:

- Create detailed and accurate technical drawings for furniture pieces based on design concepts and specifications.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
- Ensure that drawings adhere to industry standards and regulations.

**2. Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other team members to understand design requirements and specifications.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals.

**3. Material and Manufacturing Knowledge (Training will be provided)**:

- Have a strong understanding of materials commonly used in furniture manufacturing.
- Consider manufacturing processes and limitations when creating drawings to facilitate efficient production.

**4. Quality Control**:

- Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to identify and rectify any discrepancies or potential issues.
- Ensure that drawings are accurate and can be easily interpreted by the manufacturing team.

**5. Documentation**:

- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all drawings and revisions.
- Create and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) for each project.

**6. Coordination**:

- Work with other team members, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure design plans align with project objectives.

**7. Software Proficiency**:

- Maintain expertise in AutoCAD and related design software tools, staying updated with new features and techniques.

**Job Specification**:
**Education**:

- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / equivalent in a relevant field.

**Experience**:

- Prior experience or internship in a drafting role is advantageous.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and senior designers.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in AutoCAD design.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of design.

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
