**Job Description: Dental Assistant**

**Position Title**: Dental Assistant/ Receptionist
**Location**: velachery/ Thuraipakkam

**Job Type**: Full-time
**Salary**: Base pay + Incentives

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Chairside Assistance**: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing other direct support to the dentist.
- **Patient Preparation**: Prepare patients for treatment by making them comfortable, taking x-rays or dental impressions, and ensuring the dental chair is ready.
- **Instrument Sterilization**: Clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment, ensuring all tools are prepared for procedures.
- **Clinical Duties**:

- Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Assist in managing dental emergencies.
- Hand instruments to the dentist and use suction devices during procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and general dental care advice.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring efficient patient flow.
- Assist with insurance processing and billing as needed.
- **Laboratory Duties**: Make dental impressions and molds for crowns, bridges, and dentures as required by the dentist.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor and order dental supplies and materials to ensure the office is well-stocked.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
