Database Administrator

**Responsibilities**:
1. Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, including performing tasks such as modifying tables, creating stored procedures, and using cursors.
2. Develop and optimize SQL queries and procedures for performance improvement.
3. Handle client communication regarding database-related issues and requirements.
4. Collaborate with developers and system administrators to ensure seamless integration and operation of database systems.
5. Document database architecture, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and reference.
6. Monitor database performance and ensure data integrity and security.
7. Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution.
8. Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
9. Create and manage SFTP connections for secure file transfer between systems.
10. Generate and manage PGP keys for encrypting and decrypting files, particularly for transfers to payment processors.
11. Optimize existing stored procedures to improve performance.
12. Suggest data re-organization to improve database efficiency.
13. Perform basic ETL to migrate data as needed.
Qualifications:
1. At least 5+ years of experience working as a Database Administrator.
2. Proficiency in SQL Server administration, including database design, optimization, and maintenance.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and team members effectively.
