Facade Designer

**Position Title**:Designer - Design
**Based at**:Head Office - Mumbai

**Reports to**: Design Manager

**Members Reporting**:4 Members

**Role**:
To impart technical inputs for preparing CAD drawings & make fabrication friendly designs for multi-disciplinary projects involving selection and use of appropriate systems / materials and initiate value engineering to meet the approved budget and to design and deliver aesthetic structures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Façade Design Conceptualization, aesthetics, functionality with in-depth detailing & design solutions that fully integrate with functional attributes of glazing systems.
- Design as per Site practicality and build ability to gain competitive edge through project compliance & sound technical approach.
- Prepare fabrication / shop drawings for tender, rate analysis and presentations.
- Study and review tender documents to establish guidelines for accurate estimation of the project.
- Coordinating with client / architects / consultants, Pre / Post -Tender meetings for approval and Site related issues.
- Technical review of Shop Drawings and ensure all parameters are met as per project specs.
- Coordination on fabrication and materials delivery with factory to ensure smooth delivery and abolition of any difficulties.
- Co-ordinate and negotiate material specifications, pricing and deliveries with vendors

**The Person**

Façade designer with Good Commercial Awareness, understanding of the structural parameters for designing intricate systems. Analytical approach with good communication skills is required. Creative thinking with an eye for details.

**Education and Industry Exposure**
- B.Arch. / BE civil with 5-8years of experience as CAD designer in façade industry, experience in preparing Designs and Calculations. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, MS word. Athena /arena and 3d max software for high visual 3D presentation of drawings to Architects and consultants.

**Role**

The incumbent will be responsible for delivery of specialist service that combines engineering & architectural skills for execution of multi-disciplinary façade designs of exclusive systems, as per current trend of projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Façade Design Conceptualization, aesthetics, functionality with in-depth detailing & design solutions that fully integrate with functional attributes of glazing systems.
- Design as per Site practicality and build ability to gain competitive edge through project compliance & sound technical approach.
- Establish detailed breakdown for Control of Dry Cost for the Project based on material consumption and thereby budget accurate COST for the Project.
- Technical & commercial Assessment of tenders.
- Coordinating with client and architects Pre / Post -Tender meetings for approval and Site related issues.
- Technical review of Shop Drawings and ensure all parameters are met as per project specs.
- Coordination on fabrication and materials delivery with factory to ensure smooth delivery and abolition of any difficulties.
- Co-ordinate and negotiate material specifications, pricing and deliveries with vendors.
- Ensure all drawings are as per the Project’s schedules and specifications, and ensure engineering calculations are adhered to on all drawings and target productivity is achieved.

**The Person**

Techno / Commercial façade designer with Good Commercial Awareness, understanding of the structural parameters for designing intricate systems. Analytical approach with good communication skills is required. Creative thinking with an eye for details.

**Education and Industry Exposure**

B.Arch. / BE civil and MBA with 10 - 15 years experience in preparing Designs and Calculations related to Façade with experience in handling Design team For over 7 yrs exclusive.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
