**The Role
The ThinkAnalytics Content Recommendations Engine (CRE) analyses data from multiple content sources to provide recommendations for movies and television programmes. To provide personalized recommendations, the CRE uses natural language processing to automatically extract features. However, this process is dependent on good quality synopses - which in some cases is not available.

When this happens, the Content Curation team carries out extensive research and categorizes any titles that are affected because of poor-quality synopses.

We are currently hiring Content Curator to join our growing Information Science team to work on the above improvements.

**Key Responsibilities
You will work in our new, modern Pune office within an already established and experienced team to:

- Enrich the assigned titles (movies and tv shows) by using in-depth research, in-house guidelines and lists of features.
- Complete the assigned weekly/monthly targets working to timelines whilst adhering to great quality standards.
- Reviewing in-house lists of features and help enhance their quality further. Help to optimize recommendations and support the wider team during customer projects.

**Skills & Experience
We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- A degree in Mass Media/Mass Communication/Journalism/ Film Studies/Liberal Arts/English Literature/Humanities or History or similar/relatable field.
- An affinity for and in-depth knowledge about film and television content - both regional and international (international being key)
- Excellent research and attention to detail skills.
- The ability to understand and transcribe plots in the form of keywords.
- Great communication skills & excellent level of spoken and written English.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - especially excel.
- The ability to follow internal processes and procedures.
- The ability to work independently but also as part of a wider team - we are a close-knit team and it is important you are a team player
- Great organisational and time management skills.
- A willingness and eagerness to learn new skills and technologies. A keenness to contribute to discussions and be keen to put forward your own ideas

**_It will be a huge advantage if you also have:

- **
- A background in Information Management, Information and Library Studies, Film and Media Studies.
- Experience in OTT platform or in metadata tagging or metadata curation.
- Knowledge of an additional language (read/write/understand to a proficient level).
- Experience of indexing.
- Experience in using relational databases and SQL.
- Experience using GIT and/or other version control systems. Knowledge/experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence.
