**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Project Associate with a background in agriculture to join our team in Varanasi. The Project Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and management of agriculture-related projects aimed at creating positive social and environmental impact. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of agriculture, sustainability, and community development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Implementation**: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of agriculture-focused projects in Varanasi and surrounding areas.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Build and maintain relationships with farmers, local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure project success and sustainability.
- **Capacity Building**: Provide training and technical assistance to farmers on sustainable agricultural practices, including crop management, soil health, water conservation, and pest control.
- **Data Collection and Analysis**: Collect, organize, and analyze data related to agricultural productivity, environmental impact, and socio-economic indicators to measure project outcomes and inform decision-making.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Prepare timely and accurate project reports, case studies, and success stories for internal and external stakeholders.
- **Knowledge Sharing**: Contribute to knowledge sharing and learning activities within the organization by sharing best practices, lessons learned, and innovative approaches in agricultural development.
- **Compliance and Risk Management**: Ensure compliance with project requirements, regulations, and ethical standards, and identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agronomy, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in agricultural development, rural development, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of sustainable agriculture practices, including organic farming, conservation agriculture, and climate-smart agriculture.
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and interdisciplinary team environment.
- Fluency in Hindi and English; knowledge of local languages spoken in Varanasi region is desirable.
- Passion for social impact and commitment to promoting sustainable development.

**Additional Information**:

- This is a full-time position based in Varanasi, with occasional travel to project sites and other locations as required.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
