Job Description: Fabricator

Position Overview:
A Fabricator is a skilled professional responsible for creating, assembling, and constructing metal, plastic, or composite parts and structures according to specifications and blueprints. The role involves using a variety of tools, machinery, and techniques to shape, cut, weld, and join materials to create finished products that meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Reading Blueprints: Interpret and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the required materials, dimensions, and assembly processes.

Material Preparation: Select appropriate materials such as metals, plastics, or composites, and ensure they are properly prepared, measured, and cut to required dimensions.

Fabrication Techniques: Utilize various tools and equipment, such as cutting torches, grinders, shears, and bending machines, to shape and manipulate materials accurately.

Welding and Joining: Perform welding, soldering, brazing, or other joining techniques to fuse materials together securely, maintaining structural integrity.

Assembly: Assemble fabricated parts and components using fasteners, adhesives, and welding techniques, ensuring precision and alignment.

Quality Control: Inspect finished products to verify they meet quality standards, addressing any defects or imperfections and making necessary adjustments.

Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning, and perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with tools, machinery, and hazardous materials to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.

Communication: Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other team members to discuss project requirements, provide input on design feasibility, and contribute to the optimization of fabrication processes.

Documentation: Keep accurate records of materials used, work performed, and time spent on each project for reporting and future reference.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the fabrication process, such as design inconsistencies, material limitations, or technical challenges.

Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in metalwork, welding, or fabrication is preferred.

Proven experience as a fabricator or similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of fabrication techniques, materials, and tools.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

Skilled in using a variety of fabrication tools and equipment, including welding machines, cutting tools, and bending machines.

Knowledge of different types of materials (metals, plastics, composites) and their properties.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision to meet specifications.

Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing project requirements.

Good communication skills for collaboration within a team environment.

Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures when working with fabrication tools and materials.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and manipulate heavy materials or equipment.

Comfortable working in various weather conditions (if the job involves outdoor work).

Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require repetitive movements.

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
