As a Scientist, you will be at the center of our operations and you’ll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. Your main area of focus will be performing laboratory and pilot-scale process characterization and process optimization studies. You will help Pfizer develop new and improved processes used in the research and development of our drugs. How You Will Achieve It
- Experience of all techniques associated with modern organic/metal-coordination chemistry, including the synthesis, purification, and characterization of chemical compounds on small and medium scale
- Experience in the field of metal based organic reaction optimization
- Designing the chemical experiments independently, interpret data, and incorporate data into new experimental designs leading to successful experimental outcomes
- Independent, science-based, and innovative thinking, and the ability to mine scientific literature and databases where appropriate
- Functions well within multidisciplinary teams, and possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Must have the troubleshooting skills, mentoring nature, problem solving.
- Strong history of publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Participating in the elaboration and governance of a research project
- Contributing to the running of the lab by taking part in a lab duties responsibility pool
- Actively participate in scientific interactions with in-house and external collaborators regarding scientific matters

**Qualifications**:
Must-Have
- Ph.D Degree (chemistry)
- Practical experience in a range of analytical techniques
- Technical knowledge and skills in purification of biologics achieved through industrial or academic experience in research and development, technical operations, manufacturing, etc.
- Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or in a collaborative environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in supporting scale-up and technology transfer to pilot or commercial scale facilities
- Experience in a research laboratory setting, a strong background of traditional processing, and/or a working knowledge of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices)/statistical methods
