Textile Designer

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Textile Design Development**:

- Create original têxtile designs for upholstery, curtains, and other home furnishings.
- Develop patterns, textures, and color palettes that align with current design trends and brand aesthetics.
- Work with various fabric types including cotton, linen, velvet, silk, and synthetic materials to develop unique designs.
- **Fabric Selection and Sourcing**:

- Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and fabrics that meet design, quality, and cost standards.
- Stay updated on new fabric technologies, sustainable materials, and market innovations.
- **Trend Analysis**:

- Conduct research to stay informed on global design and color trends in the têxtile industry.
- Integrate market research findings into new collections and designs to ensure they are on trend.
- **Sampling and Prototyping**:

- Create fabric samples and prototypes to showcase new designs to the product development team.
- Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure the accurate execution of designs in final products.
- **Color and Texture Expertise**:

- Create mood boards, color schemes, and fabric swatches to present design concepts.
- **Collaboration with Production Teams**:

- Work closely with the product development, production, and marketing teams to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
- Communicate design specifications clearly to manufacturers, including dimensions, fabric requirements, and finishing details.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure high standards of quality for all designs produced, from initial concept to final product.
- Review fabric samples and finished products to guarantee they meet quality standards and design integrity.

8. **Branding**:

- Ensure to have knowledge to make color story / theme story for catalogues
- Design the book labels and Book cover designs

**9 Social Media**:

- We prefer to Who have knowledge of product photography make a sense to create social media post
- Good video editing skills

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Textile Designer in the home furnishing or upholstery industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous têxtile design work.
- Proficient in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD software, etc.).
- Knowledge of têxtile production processes and fabric types.
- Excellent sense of color, texture, and pattern design.
- Ability to interpret design trends and customer preferences.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and a strong aesthetic sense.
- Good communication and team collaboration skills.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and eco-friendly materials.
- Experience in 3D design tools and digital printing technologies.
- Experience in working with upholstery-specific têxtiles, such as jacquards, brocades, or microfibers.

**Work Environment**:

- This position typically involves working in a studio environment with access to fabric swatches, samples, and design tools.
- Collaboration with teams and manufacturers may require occasional travel or virtual meetings.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
