**Job Title**:Quality Assurance Tester - IT
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Officer for IT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of software and IT systems within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain quality standards, processes, and procedures to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of IT solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality improvement opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive continuous process enhancements.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards for software development, IT projects, and system operations.
2. Establish and maintain quality control processes throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases.
3. Conduct regular audits and reviews of IT processes, documentation, and deliverables to ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
5. Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and business analysts to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
6. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing activities.
7. Document and track software defects and issues using defect tracking systems, and facilitate their resolution and closure in a timely manner.
8. Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements, tools, and technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of quality assurance activities.
9. Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration between IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure alignment on quality objectives and priorities.
10. Stay current with emerging trends, best practices, and technologies in quality assurance, software testing, and IT governance, and share knowledge with the team.
**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience in quality assurance, software testing, or IT auditing roles, preferably in a regulated industry or enterprise environment.
3. Strong understanding of software development methodologies, IT governance frameworks, and quality management principles.
4. Proficiency in software testing techniques, tools, and methodologies, including manual and automated testing approaches.
5. Experience with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and version control systems, such as Jira, HP ALM, Git, or SVN.
6. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to IT systems, such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), or HIPAA.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify areas for improvement.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and facilitate consensus.
9. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail in all quality assurance activities.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
1. Certification in quality assurance, software testing, or project management, such as ISTQB, Six Sigma, PMP, or CQA.
2. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Appium, or JMeter.
3. Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting, for test automation and task automation.
4. Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps practices for software development and deployment.
5. Previous experience in conducting IT audits, risk assessments, or compliance reviews.
6. Understanding of cloud computing platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
7. Experience with security testing and vulnerability assessment tools, such as Nessus, Metasploit, or Burp Suite.
8. Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and practices, such as Scrum or Kanban.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
