Apprentice - Center of Emissions Excellence

**About the Role**:

**The Role**:
We are looking for an apprentice to join our Center of Emissions Excellence Team for a period of 12 months, who will contribute to generating insights that help energy companies, governments, and financial institutions capture the opportunities and navigate the challenges associated with a shift to a low-carbon world. This role will play a critical role in helping shape the tools and methods to answer critical market questions on GHG emissions and carbon reduction.
**The Team**:
You will be part of the Center of Emissions Excellence team and work across Commodity Insights to coordinate and advance the development of our greenhouse gas emissions offerings. The Center provides strategic direction, technical support in emission modelling and market insights, as well as the coordination of S&P Global Commodity Insights methodologies across the division.

**Responsibilities**:
Work side by side with analysts to quality check and identify trends in collected methane emissions data obtained via satellites, supporting the completion of preliminary analysis.
Contribute to the drafting of reports summarizing findings and analyses.
Conduct literature reviews and support ongoing research projects in methane emissions.
Work closely with senior analysts and researchers to refine methodologies and improve data accuracy.
**What we’re looking for**:
Recent Graduation or Post Graduation degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Geology Petroleum Engineering, or related fields.
Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, and critical thinking capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Knowledge of the energy and oil and gas sectors is beneficial.
Highly detail-oriented and inquisitive, especially when faced with information gaps and uncertainty.
Able to summarize and describe complex issues clearly and concisely.
Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Able to collaborate with a range of colleagues globally
