- In the context of its investment management mandate for Climate Finance funds, Our Client is expanding its activities in the areas of renewable energy generation, energy efficiency and electric mobility.
- Investments are limited to emerging and developing countries, with the focus on South Asia and South-East Asia.

**Your Main Tasks**
- Active contribution to the growth of Our Client’s Climate Finance portfolio by building and developing a strong pipeline of investment opportunities
- Origination of transactions in the areas of small-scale renewable energy, distributed energy, energy efficiency and electric mobility in Asia focussing on standard debt products, mezzanine and convertible loans
- Coordinating and performing transaction due diligence, on and off site, with the involvement of external service providers
- Negotiate terms and conditions with client in line with Our Client's managed funds risk/return expectations and responsibility for the quality of the portfolio
- Prepare and review financial models
- Drafting of screening reports and investment memoranda which serve as the basis for investment decisions
- Monitoring of portfolio investments as well as of the markets in which they are operating.
- Provide day-to-day operations support to credit risk management and transaction management teams
- Independent research on various markets, technologies and investment opportunities.
- Representing the company at conferences, seminars and other relevant events in the region as required

**Education**
- Post Graduate degree in economics, business administration, finance, or a related field from a top institution.

**Experience**
- 7+ of experience in consulting or financial/investment experience preferably in the renewable energy or climate finance space.
- Proven deal experience in renewable energy and climate finance sectors, demonstrated through debt or equity deal references, extensive experience in conducting due diligence in emerging markets.

**Skills**
- Strong network among climate technology focussed companies, mainly in South Asia and South-East Asia
- Business development and relationship management skills
- Proficient analytical, writing and presentation skills
- Strong financial modeling and accounting skills; proficiency with spreadsheets.
- Passionate about climate finance and impact investments; enjoys working with, and easily adapts to different cultures

**Language**
- Excellent oral and written English language skills; any other language is considered an asset
