The Night Auditor position is responsible for the auditing, posting and balancing of daily financial transactions to support the Multi property Reporting. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Follows audit procedures to balance daily revenue and expense transactions, identifies the causes of out-of-balance situations in a timely manner, produces various reports for management and takes initiative to accurate errors to prevent reoccurrence. - Balance and verify all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and prepare the system for next day operations. - Ensures that all charges have been properly posted to the appropriate guest folio or master account, balanced with all supporting documentation. - Verify charges and stay details for all in-house accounts. - Complete shift closing, Reconcile cash/check and Credit Card payments. Balance the cash drawer log and receipts. - Post Food and Beverage receipts from External systems to PMS. - Verify Credit card batch settlements Reports with PMS Systems. - Reconciles all charges to the general ledger. Prepares back-up files and closes out shift and day on reservation system, including preparing system for next day of business. - Generates housekeeping reports and prints folios departures. - Calculates account balance at month-end and submits to accounting. - Processes reservation advance deposits from receipt of reservation information to depositing and logging all monies. - Reports any unresolved problems with owners/Management. - Complete "bucket checks" to ensure all accounts are current and comply with standards established by the Hotel Management. - Prepare Daily, Weekly and Monthly Management Reports and file in Dropbox. - Microsoft Excel experience is a big plus.
