**ob Summary**
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and technical schematics to determine wiring layouts.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.
- Use a variety of testing devices, such as ohmmeters and voltmeters, to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems.
- Repair or replace faulty or outdated electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures.
- Install and connect electrical control and distribution equipment, including switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
- Install and run conduit pipe to protect and route electrical wiring.
- Adhere to all local and national electrical codes, safety standards (such as OSHA), and building regulations.
- Complete work orders and documentation of all services performed, repairs made, and materials used.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate work schedules and project timelines.
- Supervise and train apprentice electricians, when applicable.
- Respond to emergency service calls for electrical malfunctions and power outages.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree or certificate from a technical college is preferred.
- **Training**: Successful completion of an electrician apprenticeship program is preferred.
- **Experience**: Proven work experience as an electrician in a relevant environment (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial).
- **Licensing**: Valid state-issued electrician's license is required.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Deep knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- **Core Competencies**:

- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding safety protocols.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor and work in confined spaces.
- **Certifications**:

- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., in renewable energy, specific control systems) are a plus.
- A valid driver's license is often required for travel to different worksite
