**DGM Purchase - Job Description**:
It is necessary for the Manager to develop and implement procurement strategies to procure material meet the changing global challenges. It is necessary to maintain positive relationship with suppliers to get timely feedbacks on price movements and raw material availability

With internal teams regarding the ever-changing plans and requirements and oversee the purchasing team activities.

Need to have a good knowledge of import regulations and government policies

Should be aware of all documentation required for imports, about Cargo hazards and handling.

To be a successful manager he needs to forecast the market volatilities and accordingly strategize to take advantage of the markets. Should have a good knowledge of the SAP system to take advantage of the system data.

A Very good leadership skills to take the team along with him and most essential is to negotiate well for a win win

**DGM Purchase -** Job Responsibilities**:
Interacting with the plants and to meet the requirements on time.

Completing the order formalities in SAP with the help of the team

Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.

Co-ordinating with finance to ensure timely payments to maintain healthy relationship with suppliers.

Identifying new sources for efficient procurement

Developing new Vendors for sustainable procurement

Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.

Need to interact with CHAs for cost effective clearance of imported material.

Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.

Need to continuously try and improve the purchasing systems and processes

Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Ensure that all statutory documentation are made available to concerned

Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.

Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.
