**JOB TITLE**:
Electrician/Sr. Electrician

**DEPARTMENT**

**REPORTS TO**:
Technical Supervisor/Maintenance Engineer

**JOB PURPOSE**:
To read blueprints or technical diagrams. Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.

**SCOPE**:

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.

**SPECIFICATIONS**:
Qualification:

- **Educational**: 10th/12th
- **Professional**: ITI Diploma

Experience: 1-2 year

Working conditions: In Cinemas

Competencies:

- Good communication and reading skills
- An aptitude for mathematics
- Mechanical ability, strength and dexterity
- The ability to distinguish colours to work and colour coded wiring
- The ability to plan and organize
- The ability to work at heights

Salary Range**: 2-2.5 LPA
