**Role Summary**

This is a dual-role position responsible for providing individualized special education interventions and specialized therapy to develop language and communication skills. The professional will design, implement, and monitor intervention plans addressing academic, behavioral, language, and communication needs of children with developmental, intellectual, or learning challenges.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Assessment & Planning**
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children’s academic, language, and communication abilities.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining strengths, areas of concern, and recommendations.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Language & Communication goals.

**Special Education Intervention**
- Deliver structured teaching sessions addressing academics, adaptive behavior, and cognitive skills.
- Modify curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual learning needs.
- Support school readiness and inclusion programs.

**Language & Communication Therapy**
- Design and deliver therapy sessions
- Provide parent and caregiver training on strategies to build language and communication at home.

**Progress Monitoring & Documentation**
- Maintain accurate session records, progress reports, and updated goals.
- Track child outcomes and modify interventions as needed.

**Collaboration & Teamwork**
- Work closely with speech-language therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and parents.
- Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and workshops.

**Family Support & Training**
- Educate and empower families to continue skill-building in daily routines.
- Provide counseling and guidance as required.

**Qualifications & Skills**

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education (recognized by RCI).
- Certification in Speech, Language, and Communication therapy (preferred but not mandatory if substantial experience is demonstrated).
- Valid RCI Registration Certificate.

**Experience**
- Minimum 0-4 years of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, speech-language delays, or learning disabilities.

**Core Skills**
- In-depth knowledge of language development milestones and intervention techniques.
- Expertise in designing IEPs and communication therapy plans.
- Familiarity with AAC tools and assistive communication devices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and commitment to family-centered care.
