**Job Description**:

- An Individual in this role will be part of a diverse global network frontline engineering team responsible for production support, monitoring the global network, break fixes, carrier and vendors engagement and escalation. Product life cycle management for the network infrastructure, including both internal and external connectivity.
- Provide production support for the Firm’s global network and manage the product lifecycle for the network infrastructure, including both internal and external connectivity. This will include monitoring carrier and vendor engagement and escalations and executing break fix changes to remediate hardware failure and normalize the environment [70% of time];
- Monitor operational stability of the global network leveraging in-depth understanding of core networks, comprising of multivendor Enterprise and various security platform network gears such as Routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, (Virtual Private Networks) VPNs, Load balancers, IPS (Intrusion Preventive Systems) and IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems).
- Responsible for Tier 1 sensitive setups like trading floors, Internal Core network, SRP (Secure resource pool), Demilitarized zone (DMZ’s), Business to Business (B2B) networks, client and vendor connecting zones, multicast setups and leverage core domain knowledge to quickly resolve issues and provide workaround for the teams that limit the impact for the firm.
- Collaborate with other core engineering teams on various technical discussion/decision like PDLC (product Development Life Cycle), device certification, test/integrate/feedback for new platform devices and engineer product from operational standpoint.
- Troubleshoot complex Network issues in conjunction with global SME’s from other infrastructure teams.
- Work with HPNA (configuration management tools) and various in house built tools.
- Work with all technical vendors (cisco, Juniper, Broadcom, Citrix, Palo alto etc.) to review the cases that was raised and chase them for RCA’s
- Coordinate with vendor for post mortem and remediate the plat or escalate internal teams for remediation and document for senior mgmt. for review.
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members who will be required to be quick to react complex issues and understand all critical setup to support.
