**Duties**
- Preparing detailed plans and drawings of engineering designs
- Checking drawings against design specifications and making necessary amendments
- Ensuring that drawings are accurate and conform to relevant standards and regulations
- Liaising with colleagues to ensure that drawings are accurate and up to date
- Using computer aided design systems to generate and store drawings

**Skills**
- Good technical drawing ability
- A good understanding of design and construction principles
- Excellent IT skills
- A good eye for detail
- Good communication skills

**Requirements**:

- Preparing detailed plans, sketches and drawings
- Using computer-aided design (CAD) software, AutoCAD
- Checking dimensions of materials to be used
- Ensuring accuracy of drawings
- Advising on the choice of materials
- Liaising with clients and contractors
