Experience-1-3 Years domain experience in Business development for Infrastructure Sector consulting

Technical Head-Business Development

1. Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets

2. Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation

3. Generate leads and cold call prospective customers

4. Meet existing as well as prospective clients and business partners face to face or over the phone

5. Foster and develop relationships with clients and business partners

6. Understand the industry need and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to cater the need and get business by ascertaining the demand

7. Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business

8. Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes

9. Draw up client contracts - depending on the size of company

10. Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them

11. Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the HOD and senior management

12. Liaise with the finance team, human resource departments as appropriate

13. Seek ways of improving the way the business operates

14. Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate

15. Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.

16. Maintain database of identified business opportunities, business leads and clients that can be used at any point of time.
