**Role description**:
Key Accountabilities

The **Cloud Architect** will be accountable for:

- Designing **cloud solutions architecture** for Digital platforms.
- Ensuring **design alignment** with enterprise architecture standards, policies, and patterns.
- Reviewing solution implementation to ensure it meets approved architecture designs.
- Representing Digital projects in **architecture governance forums**.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with **Global Cloud Services enterprise architecture** to develop reusable design patterns and blueprints for Digital platforms.
- Design cloud infrastructure solutions using **AWS native, 3rd-party, and hybrid/on-premises technologies**.
- Support **security architecture reviews** of cloud infrastructure designs.
- Review AWS service updates to assess impact on Digital platforms/services.
- Maintain a detailed log of **design decisions, context, and rationale**.
- Support exception handling where projects deviate from global standards.
- Facilitate **solution design workshops** with stakeholders and project teams.
- Provide **technical consultancy** to Digital projects on AWS adoption.

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a **Lead DevOps Engineer** or **AWS Solutions Architect**.
- Strong expertise in **AWS solution design, engineering, and architecture**.
- Demonstrable experience building and configuring a range of AWS services, including:

- **EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC & subnet design**.
- Experience in **infrastructure build, automation, and integration** across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Experience designing **cloud networks (VPC & subnets)**.
- Proficiency with solution architecture tools (MS Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io, etc.).
- Experience working in **Agile and DevOps environments**.
- Excellent **written and verbal communication skills**, able to explain complex technical solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.

- Experience designing and documenting **solutions architectures**.
- Strong background in **DevOps practices and cloud engineering**.
- Ability to lead and facilitate **technical workshops and governance discussions**.
