We are looking for a skilled **VMC Machine Operator**to join our workshop team to help us maintain and improve our production processes.

**Job Summary**:
The VMC Machine Operator will be responsible for both setting up and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) for the production of critical automotive components, including Air Cooled Blocks, Dry Cylinder Liners, Wet Cylinder Liners, and Sleeves. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, experience in machine setup, and the ability to ensure the production of high-quality parts that meet specifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Setup**:

- Set up VMC machines, including selecting and installing tools, fixtures, and materials, based on work orders and specifications.
- Verify that machine setups are correct, ensuring that all components are produced within the required tolerances.
- Program VMC machines (if applicable), adjusting settings and parameters to optimize machining processes.
- **Machine Operation**:

- Operate VMC machines to manufacture automotive components, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor machine operations, adjust feed rates, speeds, and tool paths as needed to achieve desired part quality and production efficiency.
- Perform routine quality checks during production, ensuring the parts meet required specifications, including dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect finished components for defects or deviations from specifications, using gauges, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain strict adherence to quality standards in producing Air Cooled Blocks, Dry Cylinder Liners, Wet Cylinder Liners, and Sleeves.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues, adjusting settings or machine parameters to maintain optimal quality.
- **Maintenance & Troubleshooting**:

- Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of VMC machines to ensure consistent, high-quality production.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, promptly identifying and fixing issues to reduce downtime and maintain production schedules.
- **Collaboration & Reporting**:

- Collaborate with the team, supervisors, and quality control personnel to meet production targets and ensure seamless workflow.
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, maintenance logs, and quality control reports.
- **Safety & Organization**:

- Follow all safety protocols and ensure the machine and work area are kept safe, clean, and organized at all times.
- Ensure that parts and materials are handled and stored properly to prevent damage during the manufacturing process.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a VMC Machine Operator and Setter, ideally in the automotive industry, with exposure to components such as Air-Cooled Blocks, Cylinder Liners, and Sleeves.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for automotive components.
- Strong understanding of VMC machine setup, programming, and operation, including knowledge of CNC controls.
- Experience in selecting, installing, and adjusting machine tools, fixtures, and materials.
- Ability to troubleshoot VMC machine malfunctions and make adjustments to machine settings.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and techniques, particularly for automotive components.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet production goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address production challenges efficiently.
- Safety-conscious, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized working environment.

**Education & Certification**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational certification in CNC machining, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of machine maintenance procedures and quality control techniques is advantageous.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position.
- Shift work may be required, including occasional overtime, to meet production deadlines.
- The role will be performed in a manufacturing workshop with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
