Ophthalmologist

The Consultant Ophthalmologist will provide specialised medical and surgical care in the field of ophthalmology. The role involves diagnosing and treating eye diseases, performing surgeries, managing patient care and contributing to the growth of the ophthalmology department. The consultant will also ensure adherence to the highest standards of patient safety, ethics and clinical excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose disorders and recommend treatment plans.
- Provide outpatient consultations and follow-up care.
- Manage emergency ophthalmology cases and provide inpatient care when required.
- Collaborate with optometrists, nurses and other medical staff to deliver integrated patient care.
- Ensure accurate documentation, maintain patient records and follow clinical protocols.
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive care and post-operative instructions.
- Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous medical education (CME) activities.
- Contribute to the training and mentorship of junior doctors, residents, and allied health staff.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and statutory regulations.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- MBBS with MS/MD/DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical registration.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing Ophthalmologist.
- Proficiency in modern diagnostic techniques.
- Strong communication, clinical decision-making and patient management skills.

**Working Hours**:

- Full-time position with OPD, OT, and on-call responsibilities as per hospital policy.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
