**Job Title**: Academic Primary Zonal Coordinator - IB Schools

**Location**: Coimbatore

**Job Summary**:
The Academic Primary Zonal Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring high academic standards, effective implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), and consistent support across all IB primary schools in the designated zone. This role requires collaboration with school leadership, teachers, and curriculum coordinators to ensure alignment with IB philosophy, teaching standards, and learner outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities:Academic Leadership & Curriculum Implementation**
- Oversee and support the effective implementation of the IB PYP curriculum across all schools within the zone.
- Ensure alignment with IB guidelines and frameworks, including IB standards and practices.
- Monitor curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and unit of inquiry development.
- Facilitate consistency in academic practices and share best practices across schools.

**Teacher Support & Professional Development**
- Identify training needs and coordinate zonal professional development workshops and IB-specific training sessions.
- Mentor and support PYP Coordinators and classroom teachers in curriculum design, inquiry-based learning, and assessment practices.
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new IB PYP staff within the zone.

**Monitoring & Evaluation**
- Conduct academic audits, classroom observations, and regular reviews of teaching and learning practices.
- Provide timely feedback and actionable recommendations to school leaders and teaching staff.
- Ensure readiness for IB evaluation visits and support schools during authorization or reauthorization processes.

**Stakeholder Communication**
- Liaise between zonal academic leadership and individual school coordinators.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the senior leadership team regarding academic progress, challenges, and initiatives.
- Engage with parent communities (when needed) to support understanding of the IB philosophy and curriculum.

**Strategic Planning & Innovation**
- Collaborate in developing and implementing zonal academic strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Support the integration of innovative educational practices and use of technology in PYP classrooms.
- Promote intercultural understanding, learner agency, and holistic student development.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certified IB PYP educator with at least 5 years of teaching experience and 2-3 years in an IB leadership role (e.g., PYP Coordinator or Academic Head).
- In-depth knowledge of IB standards, practices, and philosophy.
- Experience in curriculum design, teacher training, and academic leadership.
- Experience as Vice Principal at least for 2 to 3 years in Primary segment.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
